After the Thing-I-Haven't-Named ruined the earth, only one man and his five sons, along with their wives survived.

From each brother's choice came the five basic races.

From the oldest brother, came the Fire Elthian, the ones given the power of fire.
~[]~
From the second oldest, came the Earth Elthian, they had the earth's power.
~[]~
From the middle brother, came the Human's, he chose to follow in his father's ways and had no special power.

From the fourth brother, came the Water Elthian, his descendants had the power of water.
~[]~
From the last brother, came the Air Elthian, he chose the power that comes from the air.

They spread out, and sub-races came up in different places around Printhia.
